Tributes have been paid to a teenager from Fermanagh knocked down and killed in County Donegal on Wednesday.

Nicholas Kille, 18, from Lisnaskea, had been out celebrating St Patrick's Day when he was hit by an articulated lorry on Main Street, Bundoran, at 0010 GMT.

He was taken to Sligo General Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.

The principal of St Comhghall's school in Lisnaskea, where Mr Kille was a former pupil, said he was a "gentle giant" who would be "sorely missed".

"He would always have greeted you with a warm welcome and a smile, even outside of school," said Gary Kelly.

"He was a lovely, very well-mannered young man."

Prayers have been said at St Comgall's for Mr Kille and his family.
