The jury in the trial of a Shetland man accused of murdering his nine-month-old baby daughter by setting fire to the family home is considering its verdict. Annalise Middleton died in the blaze in the village of Brae last September. Her father William Middleton, 33, denies murdering her and attempting to murder two other children. He also denies sexually assaulting a woman at a different address on various dates, and has lodged a special defence of consent. |
