A 22-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of a 66-year-old woman in Llanbradach, Caerphilly county. A woman has died after being stabbed as she waited in a street for a lift to go and play skittles.

A post mortem examination is due to take place on Wednesday. The victim, who has not yet been named by police, was a member of the skittles team at Llanbradach Workmen's Social Club.
They had an away match at nearby Trethomas on Tuesday night. But as she waited at the roadside for a friend to pick her up, she was attacked.
Friends in Llanbradach said she was lovely, inoffensive, and would not hurt a fly.
