Version 0 of 1.

A man shot dead in a house in Bradford had been the victim of an execution-style killing, a senior detective said.

Police said that 44-year-old Neville Corby was found dead with multiple gunshot wounds to his chest at a house on Ashbourne Road on Monday.

Another man at the house suffered serious injuries in the incident.

Officers want to speak to 67-year-old Ernest Wright, also known as Les, about the shooting and have warned the public not to approach him.

Mr Corby's 31-year-old partner, who was shot in the chest, remains in a stable condition in hospital.

Mr Wright was convicted of murder in 1973 and served 26 years in jail before being released on licence in 1999.

Mr Wright is thought to be driving a black Mitsubishi Shogun vehicle

Det Supt Chris Thompson, who is leading a team of 120 officers in the investigation, said: "This was a brutal, merciless, execution-style killing, all the more shocking as it occurred in a residential street at the time children were going to school.

"I would again appeal to anyone with any information regarding this incident to contact the police as a matter of urgency."
