Human remains found near near Wrexham are those of missing woman Ermatati Rodgers, North Wales Police confirmed.

Heavy digging machinery and specialist dogs were used in a search at Erddig last month, after the inquiry into her disappearance had new information.

Indonesia-born Ms Rodgers, known as Tati, was last seen in Gwersyllt, near Wrexham, in January 2008.

A 27-year-old Polish man is remanded in custody charged with her murder and the unlawful disposal of her body.

Ms Rodgers' disappearance was featured on the BBC's Crimewatch last December, and a £100,000 reward was offered for information that could help to trace her.
