Ch Insp Alun Morgan said: "We are extremely pleased and relieved that, following an extensive police investigation, we've located both Julie and Nicholas. "I would like to thank the media for their assistance in this matter as well as the public who have responded to our appeals for information over several days." Volkswagen Golf Ms Selby failed to return home to Llandough, Vale of Glamorgan, on Thursday evening as expected after collecting her son. There had been sightings of Ms Selby in Cardiff since the pair were reported missing and police also found the Renault Scenic she was driving on Thursday. Police also issued the registration number of a red Volkswagen Golf which they said they believed she was using. On Monday officers appealed directly to Ms Selby to contact them or a family member to confirm she and her son were both safe and well.
