Version 0 of 1.

A woman crashed her car with a baby and toddler in the back while she was more than three times the drink drive limit, Perth Sheriff Court has heard.

Norma Fraser, 37, from Ballingry, Fife, admitted exposing the three-month-old and three-year-old to danger on Sunday.

She had previously received a four-year ban for another drunken crash, but was given her licence back early after attending a rehabilitation course.

Fraser has been banned from driving ahead of her sentencing.

Fraser crashed her car as she drove between her home in Kirktoun Street and a friend's house in Kinross.

Abandoned children

Witnesses in the Land Rover she struck reported Fraser after watching her stagger away from the damaged vehicle while the children were left in the car.

She was later arrested at her friend's home and charged with a series of offences including abandoning the baby and the toddler in the vehicle.

Fraser admitted wilfully exposing the children in a manner likely to cause them unnecessary suffering or injury to their health while they were passengers in her car.

She also admitted driving in High Street and Avenue Road, Kinross, and on various roads between Kinross and Ballingry while she was over the limit.

She had a reading of 112 micrograms, compared to the legal limit of 35 micrograms.

She also admitted failing to stop after colliding with the Land Rover.

Fraser was banned from driving for four years in 2005. However, a year was knocked off the punishment after she completed the rehabilitation course.

The most recent case was the third time Fraser has been convicted of drink driving.
