Puncture wounds

The accident happened as the car tried to pass a vehicle making a right-hand turn.

A police spokeswoman said: "The two vehicles collided and the front seat passenger of the Hyundai was found deceased.

"It was quickly established that her injuries were not related to the accident and that she had sustained a series of what are thought to be puncture wounds.

"A full investigation is currently ongoing."
