Huge blaze sparks mass evacuation

More than 100 people have been moved from their homes during a major fire in a residential area of Blackpool.

The fire, in a property in Talbot Road, took hold at 0435 BST.

Police have joined firefighters at the scene. It is believed the building was unoccupied and nobody has been reported injured at this stage.

Residents are being accommodated at a local sports centre while the area is made safe. The cause of the fire remains unclear.
