The part-time manager of City of Derry Airport has been paid almost £35,000 since he started there working less than four months ago.

Albert Harrison was hired in January to work three days a week, with a provision for phased reduction.

Mr Harrison's salary is reviewed on a monthly basis.

A spokesperson from Derry City Council said he was appointed for six months "to support the airport's management team and help develop" the facility.
