Superintendent Barry Jones, from North Wales Police, said: "It is quite unusual for Lena to go missing in these circumstances and we are extremely concerned for her well-being."
He said CCTV footage showed her leaving her private sheltered accommodation on Conway Road, Colwyn Bay.
Police have found no reason why she should have been going anywhere at that time.
Mr Jones added that Mrs Rowlinson appeared to have left home without "any visible means of support" and had been receiving medical treatment.
