Two drivers have been arrested after a pedestrian was hit by a car and killed in Leeds.

Police said two Vauxhall Corsas were travelling on Back Newton Lane, in Ledsham, when one of the cars hit a 34-year-old man from Castleford.

The driver of that car also collided with a stationary Renault Clio.

Both drivers of the Corsas were arrested. Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision on Friday night to contact them.
