Man killed in Tayside road crash

A 35-year-old doctor has been killed in a crash on the A90 at Longforgan, near Dundee, Tayside Police said.

Kannan Palaniswamy died in the one vehicle accident, at about 0040 GMT on the road's eastbound carriageway.

The carriageway was closed to heavy goods vehicles for a time while a contraflow was set up on the road.

Tayside Police said that Dr Palaniswamy lived on Clayhills Grove in Dundee. Nobody else was injured in the road accident.
