'Young person' killed on railway Teenager dies in train collision

Network Rail say a "young person" has died after being hit by a train near Wrexham on Monday evening. A teenage girl has died after being hit by a train near Wrexham in north Wales.
The line has been closed while emergency services and transport police deal with the incident, which is believed to involve a young boy. British Transport Police said the accident happened on the line near Ruabon Station, about two miles south of the town.
Transport police confirmed the incident just before 1900 GMT was fatal but would not give any more details. Police who are investigating the incident said there were not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.

A British Transport Police spokesman said: "We are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a teenage female on the line near Ruabon railway station.
"The female was hit by a train at about 7pm. There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances. It is believed that no-one on the train was injured.
"The train was an Arriva train service from Holyhead to Cardiff. We will not be releasing any further details until the deceased's next of kin have been advised."
