http://news.bbc.co.uk/go/rss/-/1/hi/northern_ireland/8044637.stm Version 0 of 1. Police have renewed an appeal for patients of a dentist accused of two murders to come forward with any helpful information. Colin Howell, 50, from Sea Road in Castlerock, is accused of murdering his wife and a police officer. Detectives are investigating other alleged serious crimes which may have occurred at clinics in Ballymoney and Bangor. The investigation does not involve any other member of staff at the clinics. Two months ago, detectives wrote to former patients at the Causeway Dental Implant Clinic in Ballymoney and at Bangor West Dental and Implant Clinic. Officers contacted patients to ask them if they have any information that would help the enquiry team or if they had concerns. Police said a number of people came forward and the new appeal was to ensure "every possible step has been taken to identify all victims in this part of the investigation". Detectives can be contacted on 70 350935 or 70 350920, Monday to Friday 9am-5pm. Mr Howell, is charged with killing his wife Lesley and RUC officer Trevor Buchanan, who were found dead in a fume-filled car in Castlerock in 1991. He is also charged with drugging and indecently assaulting women. Mr Howell has been in custody since January. Trevor Buchanan's former wife, Hazel Stewart, 45, from Coleraine, is also charged with the double murders. |
