Dott may take break from snooker Dott's wife gets cancer all-clear
(1 day later)
Graeme Dott revealed he could take a break from snooker after his wife Elaine suffered a cancer scare. Graeme Dott's wife has been given the all-clear after a cancer scare which prompted the world champion to start planning a break from the sport.
The world champion lost 6-2 to Stephen Lee in the first round of the Masters at Wembley Arena but said he nearly pulled out because of his wife. A cyst showed up when Elaine, 29, who is pregnant, underwent a routine scan. But tests showed it to be benign.
She will learn the results of her scan within the next couple of days, and Dott said: "What's happened is much more important than snooker. Dott went ahead with his Masters first round match against Stephen Lee despite his concerns over his wife's health.

"Every match has been the same. To beat a class player like Stephen is hard anyway, but to beat somebody that's carrying that amount of luck is just about impossible." the Scot reflected.
