Councillor Jonathan Bell said the community was "absolutely traumatised".
"People are very much numb, very sad. Our thoughts and prayers are very much with the family.
"But this is a very tightly knit community I've been speaking to this morning. They're hard working families, decent people, are just shocked that this has happened within their own local area."
