Mariusz Krzysztof Demski, 35, of Balfour Street, Newtownards, is accused of murdering Krzysztof Zlotnicki, 26, at the house they shared last Tuesday. It is understood the victim died from a blunt trauma wound to the skull. It also emerged the accused has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm to the victim in a previous incident in January. A defence solicitor said his client wished to express his remorse for what had happened. He pointed out that the incident had come to light when the defendant went to Newtownards police station and told officers there what had happened. No application for bail was made and the accused was remanded in custody until 3 July. |
