'Misery'
Sentencing, the Recorder of Cardiff, Nicholas Cooke QC, told the girl: "I'm not in fact, whatever you may think, a cruel person; someone who wants to dish out punishment.
"I'm a person who sees a lot of misery in these courts, both the misery of victims of crime and of criminals who spend their time in places with no sunshine, no music and no fun.
"I don't want that to happen to you."
He had deferred sentencing for the girl because she was not enrolled at any school and he wanted ensure a place was found for her first.
The judge added he wanted her to attend school to stop her ruining her life, and directed the youth offending team to notify him of her progress within 14 days of the end of summer tern and again at the end of the autumn term.

The 16-year-old, who is now pregnant, was given two years' youth custody for leading the "shocking" attack, and the youngest girl was also given a two-year supervision order. The 16-year-old, who is now pregnant, had also pleaded guilty to battery and two counts of inciting a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity.
