The driver of the lorry was airlifted to hospital with head and arm injuries after his vehicle crashed and overturned on Wednesday afternoon. The M6's northbound carriageway between junctions five and six by Spaghetti Junction remained closed overnight. The lorry was carrying animal feed which spilled across the carriageway. The road has been resurfaced. On Wednesday evening, traffic queues stretched for more than 10 miles (16 km) and drivers were warned to expect delays of up to two hours. |
