An eyewitness said tensions had flared up at about 2200 BST when a fight broke out involving up to 30 youths, some brandishing knives, snooker cues and bottles.
He said that about two hours later a gun shot was heard and a woman shouted that she had "nearly had her arm blown off", before police and an ambulance arrived.
