A man is being treated in intensive care after he and his wife were attacked by two men in balaclavas. A 53-year-old man is being treated in intensive care after he and his wife were attacked at their home in Lincolnshire by two masked men.

Det Insp Andy Wardell said: "They didn't actually have to break in, they were actually there but they did carry out the attack in the area of the garden to start with but it's believed that they also went into the house where the lady was assaulted, although not quite so severely as the gentleman."
