"I was driving in the parking deck and I saw the deck collapsing. I saw concrete and cars falling," one witness, Matt Jones, told WSBTV. Bobby Stewart, of the Atlanta Fire Department, told the Associated Press news agency there were no immediate reports of injuries.
"I left my car sitting there," said Mr Jones, who had been on his way to a nearby LA Fitness gym at the time. He said about 50 firefighters were trying to determine if the structure was safe to enter.
