Man stabbed to death in garden

A man has been stabbed to death in a garden following a fight between a group of people in south London.

Police were called to reports of a fight in Kingston Road, New Malden, on Tuesday night.

They found the victim in a rear garden suffering from stab wounds. He was taken to hospital where he later died.

Six people have been arrested and remain in custody in connection with the incident and police say they retain an open mind regarding the motive.

A post-mortem examination will take place on Wednesday.
