A land and sea search for a man missing from the smallest of the Aran islands has resumed. A land and sea search for a man missing from Inisheer, the smallest of the Aran islands, has resumed.
The man who is in his 40s, and is believed to be a holidaymaker from Londonderry, was last seen at a pier on Inisheer island on Saturday night. It is believed the man was in his 40s and from Londonderry.
John Falvey, divisional controller of Valentia coastguard, said the man was last seen on a pier at 2100 BST on Saturday.
"He wasn't seen entering the water at any location so we are searching the whole island as well as the sea areas off it."
