A 35-year-old woman died and two children were critically injured in a house fire in Manchester. An 18-year-old woman died and two boys were critically injured in a house fire in Manchester.

The children, believed to be aged seven and 18 months, were being treated in hospital with what were described as 90% burns. The injured boys, aged 14 and eight, were said to have suffered 90% burns. Their conditions are described as "critical", police said.
A 40-year-old man is in a critical condition in hospital. Their parents are both being treated at Tameside Hospital.
A North West Ambulance Service spokeswoman said another man suffered a hand injury and four people were treated for smoke inhalation, including the mother of the two children. Their father suffered 20% burns and their mother was suffering from the effects of smoke inhalation.
Two other boys and a 15-year-old girl are also being treated after they inhaled smoke.
Three other young children are being cared for by neighbours, a North West Ambulance Service spokesman said.
