Further arrest over shop killing

Nasar Hussain died from wounds to his chest and stomach after being shot at Brookhouse Wines in Salford on 4 July. Greater Manchester Police arrested the 26-year-old man on Thursday. A 22-year-old woman was also arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. Ryan Manning, 20, of Higher Ince, was charged with Mr Hussain's murder earlier in July. Taken to hospital The 26-year-old man and 22-year-old woman remain in police custody. Mr Manning has been remanded in custody until 28 September. Mr Hussain was treated at the shop by police and paramedics before being taken to hospital, but doctors could not save his life. The Pakistani national, known locally as Nasar Shazad, had lived in Salford for about six months. A further 11 people who were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder are on police bail. |
