Man, 33, to face abduction charge Man charged with child abduction

A 33-year-old man has been charged with abduction following an incident in north Belfast. A 33-year-old man has appeared in court charged with abducting a child last Friday.
It is understood the charge relates to an alleged incident involving a child in north Belfast on Friday night. William James Coulter whose address was given as Centenary House, Belfast, a Salvation Army hostel, spoke only to confirm he understood the charge.
The man was expected to appear in court on Monday, but the case has been put back to 3 August. A detective constable told Belfast Magistrate's Court she believed she could connect him to the charge.
The Police Service of Northern Ireland has not disclosed any further details at this stage. No application for bail was made. The case was adjourned until 3 August.
