Man and woman die in fire at flat Inquiry into double fire deaths

A man and a woman have died in a fire at a flat in Perthshire. An investigation is under way into the cause of a fire at a flat in Perthshire which left two people dead.
Tayside Fire and Rescue Service were called to the flat in Alma Place, Crieff, at about 1640 BST following the report of a fire. The man and woman, who have not yet been identified, were found inside the flat in Alma Place, Crieff, at about 1640 BST on Monday.
They said an adult male and an adult female were found in the flat but were pronounced dead at the scene. However, they were pronounced dead at the scene.
Inquiries are at an early stage and officers are still identifying the victims. An investigation will take place to establish the cause. Tayside Police and Tayside Fire and Rescue Service are carrying out a joint investigation although the blaze is not thought to be suspicious.
