Teens behind town armed robbery

Two teenagers have carried out an armed robbery at a grocery shop in Ballymena, County Antrim.

The males, armed with a handgun and a stick, approached a member of staff outside the shop in the Ross's Court area at about 0710 BST.

They then went into the shop and stole a sum of cash, a quantity of cigarettes and a mobile phone before making off.

The member of staff was not injured but was shaken by his ordeal. Police have appealed for information.
