Road closed after fatal collision Man is arrested after fatal crash

A person has died and another has been injured following a car crash in Flintshire. A man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving after a man was killed when a car collided with another car and a tree.
The collision happened in Glynne Way, Hawarden at 0520 BST on Sunday. North Wales Fire Service went to the scene but the crews were only on stand-by. Police said the MGZT car was travelling along Glynne Way in Hawarden, Flintshire, when the incident happened at around 0520 BST on Sunday.
The road has been closed since the collision but is due to reopen shortly. A local man in his early 20s died from his injuries.
The injured person was taken to Countess of Chester Hospital in Chester, Cheshire. More information is expected to be released later. Another local man, who was treated for minor injuries in Chester, was arrested on his release from hospital.
He remains in custody pending further inquiries.
The road was closed for hours after the collision to allow North Wales Police investigations to take place.
