Pair charged with murder attempt

Two people have been charged with the attempted murder of a man in a country park in County Down.

The victim was stabbed in Tollymore Forest Park near Newcastle on Saturday night.

The-42-year old victim, who suffered multiple wounds, is in a stable condition in hospital.

A 31-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman are expected to appear in court on Monday morning.
