Version 0 of 1.

Thousands of commuters on the M8 motorway face longer journeys from this weekend when a second phase of work begins near Glasgow Airport.

More than 80,000 motorists a day pass over the Whitecart Viaduct bridge. One in 10 goes to or leaves the airport.

The first phase of the £3.8m project to replace parapets and lighting columns caused major disruption last year.

Travellers are being advised to plan their journeys carefully and to expect delays over the next four months.
