Powerboats crash in sea regatta Man dies in powerboat race crash

Emergency teams have been called to a serious crash during powerboat racing at Dover Regatta. A man who was injured in a serious crash during powerboat racing at Dover Regatta has died.

Kent fire service said a man in a speedboat had been seriously injured and was being airlifted to hospital, after the incident at about 1230 BST. South East Coast Ambulance Service said the patient, who had been due to be airlifted to hospital, had died at scene.
Kent fire service, which sent two fire crews, had earlier reported that at least one person had been trapped.
