A Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) spokeswoman said there had been a shooting in Baghdad involving British nationals and that the Iraqi police were investigating. The ArmorGroup Iraq spokesman described the firm as a "protective security company" that has been operating in Iraq since 2003.
However she said she could not yet confirm whether anyone had been killed or any further details.
