The police are expected to reveal further details about the murder of a woman in County Antrim. The young woman whose body was found in a County Antrim car park had been strangled, police have said.

It has not yet been revealed how she died. A police spokesman said they were investigating a motive for the murder. Police have confirmed that one line of their investigation is the possibility of a sexual motive for her murder.
Detectives have appealed for information about the woman's movements prior to her death. Ms Finlay has been described as a woman who had mental health problems and who regularly walked alone in Ballymena.
They also want to hear from anyone who saw suspicious activity before 0320 BST in Mount Street. She was last seen at 1500 BST on Monday.

"Whatever the exact circumstances, and those remain to be revealed, it is a tragic situation," he said. "Now that we know that Shirley Finlay was murdered, there is a real sense of shock at this news."
