Funeral director Malcolm Blair, a close friend of the family, said burying children was every director's "worst nightmare".
"You can't even think how Sue [the children's mother] must be feeling at this moment," he told the BBC.
"I don't know how anybody can come to terms with this."
Mr Blair, who has organised the funeral, said the service was important for the whole community.
"We've got a lot of children in the area who are friends, in particular with John and Jordan, and of course it's affected everyone," he added.
"It's affected everybody deeply because at the end of the day these are three children and it's terribly sad.
"It's going to be an emotional day for everybody."
Kevin Hargreaves, who is currently on remand, suffered burns and was treated in hospital.
