Version 0 of 1.

The owner of a County Antrim haulage firm which went bankrupt with debts of more than £3m is back in business after investing in a coach company.

Liam Reid's former company, Reid Transport, collapsed in November 2007.

Mr Reid is now understood to have invested in County Tyrone based firm, Chambers Coaches.

Chambers, which was set up by Desmond Chambers in 1967, was bought over by investment company, Enterprise Equity NI, in 2007 for an undisclosed sum.

In January 2008, administrators Pricewaterhouse Coopers were able to raise about £500,000 from the sale of Reid Transport's assets, which included its fleet of lorries and cars.

However, hundreds of businesses owed money by the company failed to recover any of their losses.

Two hundred staff who lost their jobs at Reids also staged a week-long protest outside the company's Cloughmills headquarters over unpaid wages before accepting the redundancy terms offered by the administrators.
