The police were called after reports of an active shooter in the vicinity of 122 West Garvey Avenue in the eastern part of Los Angeles. Authorities have yet to reveal the exact number of dead and wounded. In a statement on Sunday, Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Information Bureau said that the tragedy took place after 10:00 pm at 100 West Garvey Avenue. “There are nine deceased,” it said, identifying the shooter as a male.
