Man dies after car hits lamppost

An 18-year-old man has died after a car left the road and crashed into a lamppost in Glasgow in the early hours of the morning.

Daniel Boyle was a passenger in the car which appeared to lose control on Lethamhill Road at about 0045 BST.

Mr Boyle was pronounced dead at the scene. The 18 year-old driver of the car sustained minor injuries.

Two female passengers aged 15 and 16 and a 14-year-old boy were taken to hospital with serious injuries.

A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.
