Drugs and weapons found at house Man remanded over drugs seizure

A substantial amount of suspected Class A drugs, firearms and ammunition have been seized by police during a search of a house in east Belfast. A 48-year-old east Belfast man has appeared in court charged with having cocaine with intent to supply.
Police said the intelligence-led operation took place at a property in the Ballyhackamore area on Wednesday. Brian Walsh, from Bloomfield Avenue, is also accused of having two handguns and ammunition in suspicious circumstances.
Items that could be used to produce counterfeit DVDs were also recovered during the search. Mr Walsh, who appeared at Belfast Magistrates Court, was remanded in custody until his next hearing in four weeks.
