Crews were called to Symonds Yat on Thursday and a specialist fire and rescue team immobilised the pair before winching them to safety. Rescuers were called to Symonds Yat on Thursday where the two were stuck on a steep bank after getting out of their overturned canoe, a spokesman said.

A specialist fire and rescue team from Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue helped, along with West Midlands Ambulance Service and Hereford and Worcester Fire Service.
The crews received a call about the incident at about 1530 BST.
"Two people - an adult and a younger male - had got into difficulty but managed to get out of their canoe but were stuck on a steep bank at the side of the river and needed help," a fire spokesman said.
"Once rescued, we got the casualty to hospital by air ambulance."
