Moped rider fires gunshots at man

A moped rider who fired gunshots at a man in a Bedfordshire street before speeding off is being sought by police.

Witnesses in Ventnor Gardens, Luton, reported seeing a man on a red moped fire three shots at another man and ride away.

Detectives said no-one was injured in the incident on Thursday afternoon, but they want to trace the victim who has not yet reported the crime.

A police spokeswoman said it was not known what type of gun was fired.

The area is cordoned off while forensic examinations take place.
