A former kickboxing instructor from Wiltshire has been convicted of 49 sexual offences against children over a 20-year period. David Prosser, 50, from Trowbridge, was found guilty at Isleworth Crown Court of the charges, which were committed on 21 children between 1980 and 2000. The offences included rape, attempted rape and indecent assault. Prosser was remanded in custody until Friday 4 September when he will be sentenced. Caroline Hughes, spokeswoman for the Crown Prosecution Service, said: "David Prosser is a dangerous and manipulative man. "His actions destroyed the childhood innocence and profoundly affected the adult lives of many of his victims. "Because of the courage and conviction of the many victims who gave evidence against him at this trial, he will not be at liberty to continue to afflict the lives of others." |
