Funeral of father-to-be soldier Hundreds attend soldier's funeral

After the service in Alloa, his family said they were "overwhelmed by the love and respect" shown by the mourners.

Many of his comrades from the Parachute Regiment attended the service.
His coffin was draped with a Union flag and had his red beret on top of it as it was carried into St Mungo's RC Church.
Hundreds of people listened outside as the service was broadcast by loudspeaker.
'Charismatic leader'
Father Michael Milton, who conducted the service, described Cpl Mulligan as a man who "lived life to the full".
He told mourners his commanding officer had described him as being a "charismatic leader who died how he led his life, at the forefront of his men".
Father Milton said that when Cpl Mulligan's fiancée gave birth to their child it would be a "visible sign of the love they shared".
He also told how he loved sports and was a keen supporter of Celtic Football Club.

Cpl Mulligan has been described as "the epitome of a professional soldier".
His funeral is due to take place at 1100 BST at St Mungo's RC Church in Alloa.
Following the service, many of the mourners are expected to walk with the funeral cortege to Sunnyside Cemetery.
A large number of people are expected to turn out to pay their respects to Cpl Mulligan and roads in the area will be closed.
