Two people arrested over a double shooting in two Cambridgeshire villages have been released without charge, while a 66-year-old man remains in custody. A man has been charged with the murders of a father and son following two shootings in villages in Cambridgeshire.
Father and son Gary Dunmore, 57, and Josh Dunmore, 32, were found shot dead in their homes six miles apart on Wednesday evening. Stephen Alderton, 66, has been charged with the murders of Garyand Joshua Dunmore after the incidents near Huntingdon on Wednesday, Cambridgeshire police said.
A man was arrested hours later near Worcester on suspicion of conspiracy to murder, and officers recovered a shotgun and ammunition from a vehicle. Tests continue in an effort to establish whether the gun was the weapon used in the shootings. Alderton, of no fixed abode, has also been charged with one count of possession of a firearm and is due to appear at Huntingdon magistrates court on Saturday.
On Friday, police said a 27-year-old man and a 33-year-old woman who were arrested at a hotel just outside Cambridge had been released without charge.
