Demand outstrips supply at the rail information desk, which is overrun by customers unable to travel.
The message hasn't got through that most trains are cancelled if the number of those with suitcases on the concourse at Britain's busiest railway station is anything to go by.
"I have a presentation in two hours!" says one disgruntled passenger who will not be going anywhere by rail anytime soon.
As well as staff in the railway information office, the public address system is working overtime with announcements of fresh cancellations seemingly unending.
