Man, 33, arrested over stabbing

A 33-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a stabbing in County Antrim.

A 25-year-old man was taken to hospital after he was stabbed at Dunloy Gardens, Newtownabbey, on Saturday evening at about 1730 BST.

Police said a 16-year-old youth had also been arrested for disorderly behaviour and assault on police.

The stabbing victim's injuries are not thought to be life threatening, a police spokeswoman said.
