A 33-year-old man is due to appear in court later on a charge of attempted murder. A 33-year-old man has been remanded in custody charged with attempted murder following a stabbing in the Rathcoole estate in Newtownabbey.
It follows a stabbing incident which happened at Dunloy Gardens in the Rathcoole estate in Newtownabbey, on Saturday evening at about 1730 BST. Samuel Kitson appeared before Belfast Magistrates Court on Monday morning.

The man charged with attempted murder is due to appear before Belfast Magistrates Court. A detective constable told the court he believed he could connect the accused, of Rathmore Drive, with the offence.
Mr Kitson's solicitor said he would not be seeking bail until a suitable place for him to stay could be confirmed.
The lawyer said it was anticipated that an address in England will be made available.
However, the constable expressed concern over the suitability of those arrangements.
He also said the accused had lived in England before coming to Northern Ireland.
Mr Kitson was remanded in custody to appear again via video-link later this week.
