Version 0 of 1.

A woman who alleges she was groped by a former DUP councillor has told Belfast Crown Court she does not have a "persecution complex" about him.

Roger Hutchinson, from Millar's Forge in Dundonald, denies a single charge of indecently assaulting the woman.

She was cross-examined about a number of diary entries she made prior to the alleged attack at Newtownabbey Borough Council in March 2003.

She denied adding entries at a later date to "damn him". The case continues.

'Die-hard republican'

The woman told the court she had been told by two people that Mr Hutchinson had called her a "die-hard republican" and a "little fenian bitch".

She also said she was told that Mr Hutchinson had implicated her during a council investigation into certain images found on an office computer.

A defence barrister asked her why she had not made a diary entry about the computer allegations at the time, and claimed some were added at a later date to "damn Roger Hutchinson as much as you can".

I was angry, rather than bitter Alleged victim

He also questioned her about a "close relationship" she had with another DUP councillor, and asked whether she blamed Mr Hutchinson for the breakdown of the relationship.

She replied: "I thought that he had been a factor and certainly (the man in question) seemed to think that Roger thought it was a bad idea for us to be going out with each other.

"He told me that that was one of the key reasons why he no longer wanted to go out with me."

When asked by Mr Donaldson if she was bitter with Mr Hutchinson about the break-up, she replied: "I was angry, rather than bitter."

The trial continues.
